Empowered Mind Counseling provides counseling for anxiety incorporating changes in both mind and body. You can learn relaxation techniques and well as different ways to relate to the world to feel more comfortable with your place in it. Amanda has experience working with individuals experiencing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, and other anxiety related issues.

Depression and Estrangement

Empowered Mind Counseling offers treatment for depression using Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) which is a research-based approach to therapy that helps clients create a more accepting relationship with self while identifying and changing patterns of thinking and behavior that no longer work for you. 

One out of four Americans is completely estranged from a family member. Amanda can help you navigate the complicated feelings related to that loss.


Empowered Mind Counseling offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for those interested in using the technique for the treatment of trauma, PTSD, or to release patterns of beliefs and behaviors that seem resistant to change.
